My cat, Bo, died last night after being sick for only a few short days.  He started throwing up Thursday night and then died Saturday night/ Sunday morning.  Today is a sad day.  We are sad.  A video I made to share with you.

Ok well lets see I've not written in a while and don't really have any idea on what to write about.  There has not been a lot going on to write about to be honest.  I have finally come to the harsh realization that nobody is coming up for the college world series.  That means the chance of someone from Mississippi ever coming are slim to nill.  That is OK though I mean it would be nice for someone to come up and visit but I'm not completely sure if I even expected anyone to ever come.  Lets see what else is going on to talk about.  I do one day want to create my own site so instead of coming to the xanga to write about my life you could go to like www.derrick.com and read about my life although that one has been taken for years unless something has recently changed.  I have finally grown accustomed to this crazy new layout that I have to the point that I can't go back anymore which is always bad when working on someone else's computer and I look like the computer fixer that doesn't know how to type.  Although as long as I get their computer working again I don't guess they care at all if I can type or not.  I really need to get started on my school work this week and will probably start later on today.  That will be good I guess it typically only takes me a few days to get it done anyway I just concentrate on it really hard for those few days.  What else is there to talk about?  Yesterday was mother's day and I had the opportunity to wake my mother up in the morining which is always nice, right?  I really wish I had more to talk about but I don't.   Bye!

Ok let's see, what can I write about this week?  Well Bonnie got a job that she will start this summer full time and continue through graduation.  The only big problem is she will work in the evenings and every other weekend so we will see each other a lot less.  So it will be quite the challenge now for our relationship.  Since this is happening I thought it would be nice to record Lost and Heroes for her.  I started looking at DVRs, and they are quite expensive and so I thought maybe I can build a computer that would do the same thing.  I've been able to price one at $550 delivered to me.  It's nice, this is what it would look like, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811204004 just sitting next to my TV.  I would also use it to play music so when I had friends over I could hook it up to my surround sound and have endless music going.  So anyway I thought it would be a nice thing to have, but am not sure if I want to part with the money and also have a new computer that is better than the current computer I have.  It is a good idea and I like the idea of having the setup though so stay tuned on what the decision will be.  I also think that maybe a cheaper way to do close to the same thing would be is just buying a DVD recorder and using that although I would lose some functionality that would otherwise be nice.

That is the excitement that is going on in my world right now, exciting right?  I'm sitting here trying to think of anything else and I can't so that's all I have for this week.

hey, so its been a while since I last wrote and was feeling the need to update everyone who may still check this with my life.  The first thing I want to ask is does anyone still read this or am I wasting my time?  Well lets get started.  I am thinking....  Well, in my work life there is nothing new to talk about, I am still employed by the Air Force and still go to work everyday.  In my personal life though there are all sorts of things.  I am training for a marathon and hope to run the Air Force marathon in September.  So I am running a lot for that right now and am very excited about the prospect.  Also I found a new keyboard layout that I am trying to get used to called Dvorak.  You can read up on it here: http://www.powertyping.com/dvorak/keyboard.html if you care to read up.  Also you can find more information by googling it if you want.  I'm still trying to get used to it but when I can type up to speed it does seem nicer.  I just type a lot slower than I used to.  It is not a layout for those who need to look at the keyboard to type but supposedly it is easier to learn by about 50%.  You could also freak people out when your typing on the keyboard looks way different.  It has been a lot of fun but I am not sure that I will keep it simply because I already can type as fast as I can think anyway.  Plus I really makes my wrists hurt because I have to type so slowly but I'm not sure if maybe I am just typing more slow than I used to type.  We will have to wait to see if it is anymore accurate since most of my mistakes are when I hit the old key from forcing myself to learn.  What else is there to talk about?  I really can't think of anything else unless someone has questions which I will gladly answer in my next post which will be dependant on questions and life happenings.

All Shook Up!

So last night I went to see All Shook Up at the Orpheum.  It was a musical based off the music of Elvis Presley.  It was a whole lot of fun.  I didn't know a whole lot about it before I went to see it other than what I told you already but it was a nice love story type play but it was hilarious!  I have never gone to a musical or play or anything like that where I've laughed so hard.  It was great!  And in May the Philadelphia Orchestra is coming into town to have a concert, I might go to that depending on how much the tickets cost.  If its really expensive then I doubt I will go but if I can get in fairly cheap then I would probably go enjoy a night of music and fun.  Hmm, what else is there to talk about?  I'm cooking breakfast so I can eat and go to church... Yeah... I'm out of things to talk about I just figured I've not said much recently and I am sure that people are wondering what is going on.  OK, so maybe not, but there is a chance.
